Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has issued a sharp warning to international aviation authorities and commercial airlines, advising them to avoid Russian airspace as the conflict between the two nations enters a more technologically advanced phase. The recommendation comes as Ukraine increasingly relies on long-range drone technology to target strategic infrastructure deep inside Russian territory.

Speaking at a press conference, Zelenskyy emphasized the growing risks posed by the unpredictable nature of modern aerial warfare. As Ukraine expands its drone operations to reach oil refineries, ammunition depots, and military airfields far from the front lines, the Ukrainian government argues that the airspace above Russia has become a zone of heightened security risk for civilian aviation.
